Secondary Education involves two levels of assessment: formative assessment that directs the learning process and summative assessment that records attainment.

Summative assessment in Secondary takes the form of regular unit tests given by subject teachers, trimester examinations and external examinations.

Trimester 1 examinations and Mock examinations in trimester 2 prepare students for the Cambridge International Examinations that are set and graded by the University of Cambridge International Examinations board.

Cambridge international examinations (Checkpoint,  IGCSE, AS and A levels) take place in May and June of each academic year.
